Operating on Online Banking is completely safe. At the Kutxabank we have taken all the necessary technical measures to guarantee the confidentiality and security of your transactions.

All the pages in the Online Banking website are located in a safe server* which can be identified as follows:

.	in the address bar on your browser, you will see that Kutxabank's safe pages are always addressed 'https://www.kutxabank.es/…' (as opposed to the standard 'http://')
.	furthermore, on the lower right hand side of all safe screens a closed yellow padlock symbol appears. By double-clicking on this padlock, you can access the security certificate information:
	-	the website the safe site certificate was issued for (in this case, www.kutxabank.es)
	-	the issuing authority (the international certifying authority Verisign, Inc.)
	-	the corresponding validity term

* Locating our service in a safe server means that the confidentiality of the data that is transferred between your computer and our server is guaranteed by means of an encoded connection using 128 bit passwords through the SSL protocol, making it impossible for third parties to access the information sent.

Outside of these safe site pages, you should never provide your personal details or passwords. In this regard, the Kutxabank guarantees that you that it will never request you to provide this data via e-mail, telephone or any other similar means.

Moreover, never access Online Banking using links included in e-mails (see 'phising' section). You should always access the service from the www.kutxabank.es homepage. You should not give out your passwords over the phone, unless you call Kutxabank by phone on 901 33 55 66.

If you receive an e-mail or telephone call in which you are asked to give your password or any form of identification in the name of the Kutxabank, beware, do not provide the requested data and contact Kutxabank by phone by dialling 901 33 55 66.

Other measures included in our service are:

.	automatic logoff system which disconnects you in the event that several minutes elapse without performing any transaction.

.	date and time of last connection. This data is provided so that you can detect whether a someone has logged on since your last session.
