phising or e-mail fraud
The clients of certain financial
entities have been receiving e-mails simulating communications
sent by the entities themselves but which are in reality aimed
at defrauding the recipients.
Normally, these e-mails simulate security alerts or gifts and request the recipient's passwords.
The most common form of fraud
involves convincing the message recipient to access the identification
page of their bank or savings entity by clicking on the link
included in the message. This link takes the recipient to
a page set up by the fraudster which is designed as a copy
of the forged entity's website so that the defrauded party
fills in his/her access data. Hence, the impostor captures the
data and can subsequently use it to supplant the client and grain
access to his/her accounts.
In the event that you have
any doubt regarding an e-mail received with these characteristics
or if you have provided any ID data, contact Kutxabank by phone
immediately on 901 33 55 66 in order to block access to
your contracts by any distance banking channel.
